The Block of the Month folks are really moving right along! They just completed the 5th row which was the block "Hens and Chicks." They look adorable. Ann is so ambitious, she's already putting it together with her sashing!

Kids Camp 2009
Kids Quilt Camp was awesome! Allie and Heidi really sharpened their sewing skills! They made a cool i-pod case, a tote bag by recycling their jeans and an adorable halter top! The girls had a great time learning to use the serger - but look out Mom and Dad - they both had a lead foot-doesn't bode well for driving! In addition to all their projects, they even had time to help sew together a charity quilt for Meals on Wheels' Alert and Alive Program. Way to go girls!!

Beginning to Quilt - Spring 09
This spring we ran our Beginning to Quilt class. We had a great group of girls who jumped right in! They learned to measure and cut properly, sew with a 1/4" seam, layer, quilt and bind a quilt. They were awesome and were definitely bitten by the quilting bug!

QuiltFlix: Sleepless in Seattle
Once a month we have a "Quilt Flix" night. We show a movie, have dinner and work on a quilt based on the movie. May's movie was "Sleepless in Seattle" and the quilt was a coffe cup quilt! Mike treated everyone to an awesome dinner of gourmet panninis. Yummy! June's Quilt Flix is on Friday, June 12 from 6-9pm and the movie is "Father of the Bride." Why not join us?

Professional Tote!
This was an awesome class! The pattern is The Professional Tote by Clever Thimble. It's so roomy with lots of great zippered pockets. Big enough for a lap top computer! We're re-running this class on June 14th and 21 from 1-3pm. Aren't these bags cool?
